WildCoast Surf Contest: Stand Up Division!

Come on down to Imperial Beach this Sunday Oct. 7th and check out WildCoast's surf contest, The Dempsey. I was at the WildCoast office just today and got a peek at a couple of the raffle prizes. We're not talking a tee shirt and sticker give away- there were two cool retro style surfboards destined for somebody's living room wall - cool planks well worth the price of a couple of raffle tickets. See you there!

Hey Steve- Can't wait to check out the new ride- I paddled today at Silver Strand around 5pm- kind of dumpy and closed out but worth the go out. What are the dimensions on the new board? I was at WildCoast yesterday- guess there's only four of us signed up for the stand up division- should be fun, could be some fun small waves too! Let me know where you're going to paddle in Coronado- I'm probably going to paddle IB around around 4pm or so!

Stevo- sounds interesting, bring it by Date street Sat. morning here in IB around 7am- I'm sure a bunch of the boys would love to give it a shot!

Greg- unbelievable but cool at the same time- I would've definitely went up to the San-O contest if there wasn't something happening in my own backyard!

Hey John,

I SUPed with your brother Mike this morning. Waves have backed way off since Monday though. He told me a little about the Wild Coast organization and contest. Very cool! The Mex trips sound fun...especially the warm water! Take care.

All I do is dream about padding in Mexico again- flatwater or surf paddling, it really doesn't matter- it's all so fun! Cool to hear you're getting Mikey in the water- how are his skills coming along?

I think his skills are good. He always gets his fair share of the waves. It's fun being out with him, always a smile on his face. A very positive guy!

He's a cool guy to hang out with- and he's really, really messed up on this paddling thing. So am I!

Actually there THREE SUP contests in the area on Sunday: SanO, Wildcoast, and Swamis Surfing Assn.

It's like the frickin' planets lining up! I can tell you that the A and B teams will be at the Swami's and Infinity Events, us third stringers will be ripping (in our minds- at least) the southside of the IB pier on Sunday- whooo hoooo!

Hey Gabe! No way, I didn't know you were doing SUP- that's cool. I paddle everyday that it looks good- I'm stoked you're out there- if you don't know already, it's great exercise. What are you riding?
