Stand up paddling was reborn on Maui. Blame it on Laird. Or credit the big man because if you're here reading this chances are that you're just as crazy about this stuff as I am. If that sounds like you then you've got to make the pilgrimage to our paddling Mecca... Maui! I'm here now, just finished paddling a fun little reef break and am having a great time. Check out these photos:
|Oh yeah, it's really small- but even small here is considered fun back home... especially if the water is in the mid-70s and the sun is shining. |
|Plumeria... everywhere. Reds, yellows, whites, sunsets... all colors, all over the place. |
You going to do Maliko? Have a great trip!
Heading over to that side today... we'll see, it's frickin' windy!
BTW just a shout-out: Of all the SUP blogs I follow (Laird, Kalama, Blue Line, Extreme Geezer, Distressed Mullet, blah blah) you most consistently deliver posts. And they're even interesting. You really do seem to rule the SUP blog universe.
That is all.
Appreciate that Yeti- thank you sincerely.
I promised a large brown skinned gentleman named Mr. Moke that I would not name the spot... he yelled out to me as he was driving away something in code, "You one howley motherf#$%a!" Which I understand to mean,"Welcome to the islands!".
Aloha means good-bye too....i saw that somewhere and thought funny.
Great stuff John-i am living vicariously through you on your Maui trip-keep up the great posts.
You better pee on that thing. Hope you get to do a Maliko run.
I just missed you out there. Have a great time! Here's my quick recap.
